My activity was to receive a prompt of a character, and bring the character to life using mise-en-scene techniques. My character’s name was Taylor Richardson, and she was a movie lover that loves social gatherings with her friends, and writes her own blog about movie reviews. I created a prompt engineered image of my character using reference photos from pinterest and descriptive wording, which I then put into picsart where with an ai tool it helped me create my character.
Me and my group organized our station by bringing in a soft and fuzzy black blanket and used it as a tablecloth to make the viewers feel like they are in a comfortable home environment. We also created small tv antennas to put on the computers to make them look like tv’s. We had three computers with a canva presentation that we created. The canva presentation had information about our character, a kahoot!, and a blog writing activity for them to complete.
Our character has a physical appearance of blonde hair and light green eyes. Her costuming consists of knitted cardigans and other warm clothing. She lives in an apartment with a large living room perfect for her and her friends. She also has two cats Milo and Lila. My group and I came up with the idea of the antennae together, and I brought the blanket to use as a tablecloth. We definitely all had a big part in this, with us all working together during class and on call after school to bring our ideas together. We all believed there were small things we could’ve tweaked, related to the overall organization of our project.
